I’d like to thank Nicholas Sparks.  While reading his book, Three Weeks With My Brother, I discovered his mother’s family lived in the town of Lyons, Nebraska–same place I grew up and wrote about in my book.  His grandparents owned the movie theater that we all attended, mostly on Saturday night, where up in the balcony you could sneak in a kiss with your girlfriend.  I was amazed to discover the connection between my hometown and the world famous author, Nicholas Sparks.  As the saying goes, “It’s a small world…” to which comedian Stephen Wright added, “but I’d hate to have to paint it!”  Thank you,  Nicholas!
