I’m going to vent today.  It pisses me off that every time there is a mass shooting the news media has to glorify the shooter.  Within minutes to hours we know his name and all about him.  They give him his fifteen minutes of fame.  I think if we simply call him “the shooter”  and never give his or her name there might be less crazy people trying to make a name for themselves.  It seems like all they want to do is something worse than the last crazy nut that the news media glorified.   How can you be famous even for doing something crazy if we don’t tell the world what your name is?   The next one may see that if he doesn’t get any recognition for his stupidity and craziness then why do it?  They want their names to go down in history like Jessie James and Al Capone.  Nobody wants to be remembered as simply “the shooter killed eight people today and was shot and killed himself,” end of story.
