The weather in Iowa.  One day it is 25 degrees the next day it is  -15 with the wind chill at -30 degrees. Then you throw some snow in the picture and you have a complete whiteout with the wind blowing as hard as it has.  I have always said that this is proof that Mother Nature is in complete control.  All we can do is wait until Mother Nature decides to ease up and the weather gets tolerable again. Life in Iowa in the wintertime is waiting for Spring to come.
